03Paying

Paying takes a minute

Account holders pay online by card or with a saved bank account. If your club allows it, they can split an invoice: part now, the rest later.

04Collecting

Money comes in with less chasing

Staff select the invoices that are owing and charge each account holder's saved card or bank account in one step. Registration fees can be charged to the saved method as soon as a registration is processed.

06Countries

Clubs in Canada and the United States

Clubs on both sides of the border get the same payments; the bank payment method is the difference. Each club bills in its own currency: CAD or USD.

How processing fees and the platform fee work is explained on the pricing page.

  • Canada: pre-authorized debit (PAD) from a bank account, through Stripe.
  • United States: ACH bank payments through Stripe.
  • Both: card payments through Stripe or PayPal.
07Questions

Questions

Which payment providers does Pool Queue use?

Stripe and PayPal for card payments, and Stripe for bank payments. Pool Queue is a Stripe Verified Partner (opens in a new tab).

What do online payments cost?

Stripe or PayPal processing at their rates, plus a platform fee set in your club's agreement. Clubs can pass processing costs to account holders with an optional surcharge, where allowed. See pricing

Where are card details kept?

With the payment provider. Card numbers go straight from the browser to Stripe, PayPal or Intuit. Pool Queue's servers never receive or store them.

How do bank payments work?

Your club chooses whether to offer bank payments. An account holder saves a bank account as a payment method, and it is charged when a registration is processed or when staff collect what is owing.

What if an account holder has no saved card?

Collecting in one step charges only saved cards and bank accounts, so that account holder is not charged and can pay the invoice online.
